My Friend Called Me A Cheapskate Because I Share a TracFone
It is okay, she and I are good friends, so it is all in good fun. The whole problem is that neither my husband nor I talk very much on a cell phone, so we only have one to take when either of us leaves the house or he goes to work. We are happy with it and only pay for new minutes every three months. Most of the time we only buy a phone card for the TracFone for $19.99 and we can then carry over our unused minutes. My friend, on the other hand, pays a lot more for service for the three cell phones in her family because they tend to spend a lot more time on their cell phones. If I start working outside of my home again, it might be time to look into purchasing another cell phone, but for now, the corded land line telephone and answering machine is on my desk and I just do not feel deprived. Our sharing arrangement is very budget conscious and works out just fine for our lifestyle.
