Did You Put Your Christmas Tree Up Yet?
Some of my friends have already put up their Christmas tree, but we will not even think about that until some time after Thanksgiving Day. It is just too early for us. Once Thanksgiving Day is over — and all the leftovers are either frozen or eaten, then we will think about Christmas and putting up the Christmas tree! I have never been a fan of consolidated holidays; I want to enjoy each and every holiday by itself. All the retail stores seem to rush every holiday season. That does seem understandable, due to the logistics of ordering ahead of time and giving their customers the opportunity to purchase gifts more at their leisure. I just hate having to wrap gifts at the last minute and rush. We always put the Christmas tree in the same place where our dog cannot knock it over or steal the ornaments. Now that our sons are adults, they do not snatch the ornaments anymore, but everyone has an opinion on how it should be decorated or rearranged once it is done. Maybe I should just get everyone a little one of their own with the rule that they will be taken down and put away before Valentines Day?
