I will admit it, I LOVE snow.  Just not how it started out today, a rather nasty mix of snow, rain and wind kicking it up.  But that is Pennsylvania weather for you, you never know for certain just how those kinds of storms are going to end.

My umbrella was totally useless to keep the snow and rain from hitting me in the face and hair.  I had the combination drowned rat with sunburned face look.

When it finally got a bit colder again, just snow kept falling and this time it stayed on the grass, rooftops and hedges.  It was so beautiful, all the half-inch high clumps of it.  You could easily see the individual flakes in the clumps.  A gorgeous art exhibition totally free, compliments of Mother Nature.  Even the weeds looked good.

What is even better, is that it has given me a new idea for some Christmas presents.  In fact, it reminds me of summer and trips out to get a snow cone.  Now all I need to add to my gift list are flavoring extracts.   For those who do not like snow cones in the winter, flavor extracts can be added to hot chocolate, coffee, tea, or alcoholic drinks.  Perfect as a stocking stuffer, thanks Mother Nature!
